Plant in a sunny or semi-sunny location that has very good water drainage. As a general rule, the bulb should be planted three times as deep as its diameter. Mix in a good bulb fertilizer prior to planting.

Bulbs ½" to 1" in diameter should be spaced 2" to 5" apart. For the most part they produce lower growing plants.

Bulbs 1¼" to 2" in diameter should be spaced 4" to 6" apart. For the most part they produce medium size plants.

Bulbs 2½" and up in diameter should be spaced 6" to 8" apart. For the most part these will be the taller plants.

After planting, water well to settle the soil. Once the bulbs sprout, keep soil moist but not soggy. Never allow water to stand. After blooming let the plants die back naturally before removing foliage. This allows the bulbs to replenish themselves for the next season.
