2011: Even though the calendar says it is spring, it is
still cold in the Rim Country. If you want to get a jump on
the season and start your garden early, plan on watching the
weather and protecting tender young plants if the night time
temperatures are going to dip into the 30's. |

We had a couple of days of snow
just after the roses and fruit trees arrived. The fresh snow
made the nursery beautiful. The graceful tree branches
created a window showing a tiny patch of blue sky. The
dogwood branches really stood out against the snow covered
evergreens while the decorative pots looked like they had
halos. Rob came to work in his winter shorts and declared it
a beautiful day! |
